Ryan casts the Uncharted movie!!

Uncharted is one of the most amazing and cinematic video games ever made. So it’s only natural that Hollywood would want to adapt it. But to fans horror the first attempt sounded like a nightmare. David O. Russell is an ok director but when he wanted to cast Marky Mark(Mark Walberg) as Drake fans were rightfully upset. I like Mark Walberg but he isn’t right for Nathan Drake. So I decided to make a list of my dream cast to portray the characters. The first game does a great job of introducing Drake and his world so that’s what this list is based on. I did like the story of how Nathan and Sully met from Uncharted 3 and thought that would be a fun opening to the movie…

Nathan Drake——Chris Evans

Yes I know Nathan Fillion would make a great Drake, however he is too old. Chris Evans has the acting and comedic timing down and he is super hunky. He can do action, (Captain America) and he can do funny(Not Another Teen Movie), so being Drake would be natural for him.

Victor “Sully” Sullivan—-Bruce Campbell

Duh. This is the easiest choice by far. Bruce could pull off a veteran treasure hunter that’s cool and a father figure to Drake in his sleep.

 Elena Fisher—-Emma Stone

Nate’s love interest is tough. She needs to be charming and funny and sexy. She also needs to be able to hold herself in a gunfight. Emma Stone can do all of the above.

Gabriel Roman——Robert Downey Jr.

A rival treasure hunter that’s a smart ass, cool, and tough as hell. Easy RDJ.

Atoq Navarro——-Dwayne Johnson

Roman’s muscle and tough guy that can easily kick Drake’s ass, The Rock loves laying the smack down on everyones candy ass!

Young Nate——Chandler Riggs

Super talented young actor from The Walking Dead could easily pull off Young Drake no problem.

Rum Diary Twat

You can barely make out the annoying twat that made The Rum Diary even worse

The circle is now complete, Ryan has finshed the Star Wars Saga on Blu-Ray

Sorry about the delay but here are my final thoughts on Star Wars The Complete Saga. And instead of boring you with another review of the final two movies I decided to list my favorite movies in order from my least favorite to one of the greatest movies ever…

6. Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace: Yes I still think this is the weakest of the Saga, but I enjoyed it much more then I did when it was released.  The battle between Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon, and Darth Maul is still epic, and the podrace is thrilling. But the film doesn’t really advance the Star Wars story and the Gungons thankfully lasted (mostly) only one movie. B-

5. Star Wars Episode II: Attack of The Clones: The second episode picks up a little more momentum and has some truly radical moments. The war between the clones and droids is really awesome, but the absolute highlight is the lightsaber duel between Yoda and Count Dooku. Unfortuntely it also has wooden acting and terrible dialogue which keep it from the heights of the Saga. B

4. Star Wars Episode VI: Return of The Jedi: The original trilogy is still amazing but this movie is not quite up to the standards of the first two. It does have a sweet monster in the Rancor and the scene between Vader and Luke on the Bridge is sweet. It’s just too goofy sometimes. The Ewoks are still lame and the scene that carried over from the Special Edition where the two aliens sing and dance for Jabba makes my eyes roll. I will say that watching the movies right after each other makes you truly realize that the whole Saga is really Anakin’s story and to watch him fulfill the Prophecy of destroying the Dark Side thus bringing balance to the force makes the Saga all that more amazing. A-

3. Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of The Sith: After watching this movie again it seems even more like a natural part of the Saga. It finally pays off what all the Star Wars fans have been waiting for and that was Anakin turning to the Darkside. Yes there is some terrible dialogue but the movie is epic and has some amazing scenes. A-

2. Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope: After all these years this is still an amazing movie. It has such a feel of adventure and wonder. I love this movie, and watching it again brought back so many memories of watching as a kid with my dad. It still has the ability to make me cheer and smile. A

1. Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back: Hands down the best of the Saga and also one of the greatest movies of all time. The whole movie is top notch, from the battle on Hoth to one of the most shocking moments in movies ever this movie has few equals. I still get goosebumps when Vader speaks and still have the sense of doom when he chops off Luke’s hand and tells him that he is his father. I love this movie and could watch it a thousand times and still want to watch it again. The force is strongest with this one. A+

The Blu-Rays are worth the price and I recommend this set for everyone.

Ryan is watching the Star Wars Saga on Blu-Ray here’s what he thought of Episode 4…

Finally I have made it to the Original Trilogy! What an interesting journey it’s been down memory lane, and I must say it was great reliving the moments of my childhood…

Episode IV takes place several years after Episode III and finds the Galaxy at Civil War. Darth Vader is dispatched to a vessel carrying Princess Leia, who has stolen plans to The Death Star, the Empires ultimate weapon. Before her capture Leia records a message in R2-D2 and orders him to find Obi-Wan Kenobi. Not only does he(along with CP30) find Obi-Wan but also farm boy Luke Skywalker. Luke learns that his father was “killed” by Lord Vader and Obi-Wan asks him to fulfill his destiny and join him in destroying the Empire. At first Luke rejects him and only when he returns home to find his Aunt and Uncle dead, killed by Imperial Stormtroopers does Luke realize that he must join Obi-Wan in defeating Vader.

Catching a ride with the coolest character in space Han Solo, Luke and Obi-Wan find that the planet they were attempting to go to has been destroyed by The Death Star. They also discover Leia is being held captive there and set out to rescue her. Luke and Han(with Chewbacca and the Droids) do rescue her. Obi-Wan fights Vader in a light saber duel and is killed.

The plans for the Death Star are more then helpful as the rebels learn that it has a weakness and plan to exploit it.  Amazing space battles ensue with the eventual destruction of the Death Star by Luke Skywalker.

I love this movie. I have seen it so many times and I still get a kick out of it. I still cheered when Han saved Luke at the end, I still get goosebumps when Vader speaks. This movie is so much fun. I smiled ear to ear when Han Solo makes his long awaited appearance. What else can be said about this classic.

The sound and picture again are top notch. As far as the changes of a different dragon call by Obi-Wan, and the extra boulders in front of R2D2 they go by without notice. This movie is one of the best.

Grade: A

Ryan is watching the Star Wars Saga on Blu-Ray here’s what he thought of Episode 3…

While Episode II was a step forward, Episode III is the closest any of the prequels get to capturing the magic of the earlier films.

Set a few years after the events in Attack of The Clones, Revenge of the Sith starts with the rescue of Senator Palpatine, who has been “captured” by the Sith Lord Count Dooku. Obi-Wan and Anakin storm Dooku’s ship and engage him in a light saber battle. When Obi-Wan is knocked out Dooku is overpowered by Anakin. With Dooku at his mercy Palpatine orders his execution. At first Anakin refuses but Palpatine insists and Dooku is decapitated by Anakin, this is the start of his descent into the Darkside. What Palpatine notices is that Anakin is terrified of Padme dying and he exploits it by saying he knows of a Sith Lord that was able to save people from death. Anakin does Palpatine’s bidding and informs Jedi Master Windu that Palpatine is in fact the Sith Lord, Darth Sidious. Windu attacks the Senator and when Palpatine begs for his life, Anakin severs Windu’s arm allowing Darth Sidious to kill him. Thus Darth Vader is born. Vader also kills all the Jedi younglings at the Jedi Temple and all the people that knew Darth Sidious and Senator Palpatine were one in the same. Obi-Wan and Vader have a light saber duel and when Obi-Wan defeats Vader he leaves him for dead. Palpatine finds Vader alive a transforms him into the Vader we all know and fear. Padme dies after giving birth to her and Anakin’s children and the twins are split up keeping them safe from Vader…

I think this is hands down the best of the prequels. It doesn’t have any goofy Jamaican-ish comic relief, it focuses on what matters, Anakin’s fall. Hayden Chrsitensen is better in this movie and he does have the intensity needed to become Vader. General Greivous is a cool new villain and has a sweet light saber battle with Obi-Wan. Speaking of light saber battles Obi-Wan and Vader’s(remember Anakin is no more!) on the Volcanic Planet Mustafar is the most epic light saber battle in the series.

Surprisingly I was shocked to learn that my fellow Nerds, Brad and James think this is the worst of the prequels?! My wife too! Huh? I mean yes there is some terrible dialogue. (“Hold me like you did on Naboo…”  yuck) And it has the single worst line I’ve ever heard “From my point of view the Jedi were evil!”  But I will take it for the awesome battles and finally seeing Vader on screen again. Am I alone in thinking that this is the best of the prequels? I hope not…

As far as the Blu-Ray goes this is the best looking and sounding Blu-Ray I have ever heard. This is why there is high-def. The battle on Mustafar is so epic that I thought my eyeballs would pop out of my head. And the sound, wow. You must watch this on Blu-Ray, now.

I don’t care what the Nerds say this movie rocks.

Ryan is watching the Star Wars Saga on Blu-Ray here’s what he thought of Episode 2…

Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones gets the saga back on track. After the misstep of Episode I, Lucas had his work cut out for him and he mostly succeeds.

Taking place 10 years after the events of The Phantom Menace, Attack starts with an assassination attempt on Padme. The Jedi council decides to have Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker protect her. The Jedi’s soon learn however that there is an even more sinister plot at hand. Along the way Anakin starts flirting with the Darkside when he kills a whole tribe of Tusken Raiders after he finds his mother near death at their camp. When she dies in his arms he becomes unleashed. He also falls in love with Padme setting up his fall from grace in Episode III.

Gone is the worst part of Episode I and that’s Jar Jar Binks(mostly). His comic relief is replaced by C3PO and for some reason he is nowhere near as annoying. The movie also has some incredibly epic battles. The final battle between the clones and droids is amazing. Yoda finally gets in on some action and he doesn’t disappoint.  I remember seeing this in theaters and when Yoda drew his lightsaber the audience went nuts, all those memories came roaring back and brought a big smile to my face.

What plagued the first Episode comes back in this movie. Some of the acting is awful. The worst performance by far is Hayden Christensen. It seems that he never learned his lines and he doesn’t act he just reads his lines. It doesn’t help that some of the writing is clumsy and wooden, but some of the actors make it work, most notably is Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan.

The movie looks spectacular in Hi-Def, way better then Episode I. CGI Yoda looks lifelike and the colors jump of the screen. The sound is a highlight again. Spaceships never sounded better. I didn’t catch any alterations in this movie maybe someone caught one just let me know.

I believe this movie is better and more focused then Episode I. Of course you can disagree, just hit me up below.

Grade: B

Ryan is watching the Star Wars Saga on Blu-Ray, here’s what he thought about Episode 1

With the contraversial tampering with the Star Wars Trilogy, they have finally been released on Blu-Ray. Is it worth your money? I’m going to watch all the movies and bonus features and let you know…first up Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menance.

Of all the movies in the Star Wars Saga this one is the most discussed and disagreed upon. Brad(of Reel Nerds) thinks it’s the best of the prequels, while I actually think it’s the weakest. The movie follows Jedis Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi as they unravel the mystery of the Trade Federations invasion on the peaceful planet of Naboo. Along the way the make their way to Tatooine, where they meet Anakin Skywalker a slave who Qui-Gon believes will be the chosen one to bring balance to the force.

I have not seen this movie since 2002( I remember because I was in Austrailia) and it’s not quite as bad as I remember. Now it’s not the best movie in the Saga but it’s much better removed from the hype it garnered upon intial release. Somethings that will never be good in this movie, Jar Jar Binks(duh) and Jake Lloyd’s terrible delivery of some very bad dialogue.

What works though is some truly thrilling battle scenes on Naboo with the Gungans and the Droid army. It also has a badass light saber battle between Qui-Gon, Qbi-Wan, and Darth Maul. Speaking of Darth Maul he is a sweet villian too bad he only lasted one movie, which would be ok if Vader made he’s apperence in Episode 2 not 3. Also Liam Neesson as Qui-Gon is truly good.

The movie has one big change and that’s an all CGI Yoda. But Yoda actually looks much better then a stiff puppet. The picture is good but it looks really soft at some parts. The sound however is some of the best I’ve ever heard. Crank this movie to 11, it’s amazing.

All in all this movie is not as bad as you remember, but all the things you had a problem with, most lame of course is Jar Jar and he doesn’t get any better overtime. But cheer for the pod race and ignore the lame dialogue. (Yippee!)

Ryan’s top 10 most kick ass episodes of Buffy The Vampire Slayer

Sarah Michelle Gellar makes a much wanted return to TV this fall in “Ringer”. It got me thinking about my favorite episodes of one of my favorite shows “Buffy The Vampire Slayer”. Yes Buffy is awesome and there are so many episodes to choose from this wasn’t easy. I have a feeling that if you’re a fan you will hopefully agree with me, and sound off in the comments if you think I missed one of your favorites.

10.Passion(season 2 episode 17) Spoiler, Angel becomes one bad dude. And this amazing episode is narrated by him with an eerie calm. As Angel taunts the Scoobies from a distant, drawing Buffy as she sleeps and watches them from a far, Angelus(his evil name) is told by Drusilla that Jenny Calender is in the process of restoring his soul. Angelus storms Sunnydale High and catches Jenny…and breaks her neck. After tormenting Giles with Jenny’s death, Buffy talks him out of seeking revenge, but she also realizes a terrible truth…she must kill Angelus.

9. Faith, Hope, Trick(season 3 episode 3)

The first appearance of Faith The Vampire Slayer is memorable. With Buffy’s death in season 1 a new slayer must take her place. But Buffy only died briefly and the first Slayer to emerge from her death was Kendra. But she too was killed so in step Faith. This episode is the catalyst for the Buffy, Faith rivalry. But they work together to take down an extremely powerful vampire named Kakistos. This episode also marks the return of Angel who…oh just keep reading I will tell you later. Yes there are some other amazing episodes featuring Faith but I like this one as it introduces us to this emotionally damaged girl.

8. Becoming Part 2 (season 2 episode 22)

When Buffy and Angel knock boots his curse is lifted. The curse being he was a Vampire with a soul which makes him basically remember all of the terrible things he’s done as Angelus. With his soul gone he returned to his murderous ways.  After kidnapping Giles Buffy confronts Angelus at his mansion and they do battle. Knowing she must kill him to prevent the awaking of a demon called Acathla, Buffy sets out to do just that. But as she’s about to plunge a sword in Angelus, Willow has restored his soul. But the portal for Acathla had already been opened. Realizing that it was now Angel standing in front of her, Buffy embraces him and plunges her sword into his stomach, killing her one true love.

7. Prophecy Girl (season 1 episode 12)

After reading the prophecy that if Buffy fights The Master(the oldest known vampire) she will die, Buffy decides that she is going to quit being the slayer. But after thinking about it she decides that she will fight The Master no matter what. Giles tries to stop her and she knocks him out.  When she goes to The Masters liar she is ambushed form behind and drank from by the Master. He drops her into a shallow pool, leaving her to drown. What the Master had not counted on was a rescue by Xander he performs CPR on Buffy. Buffy revives and stakes that vampire bastard right through his heart. No, not even death can stop Buffy.

6. Chosen (season 7 episode 22)

The final episode of Buffy is everything you wanted as a fan(except for maybe the death of Spike and Anya, sad). The destruction of the Hellmouth and Sunnydale, an epic vampire battle, and Nathan Fillion. Buffy realizes that she cannot beat Caleb and his minions by herself, so she has Willow perform a spell where all the potential slayers would all be given her power. The result, not one or two slayers, but hundreds.  Buffy went out totally kicking ass and empowering women all over the world, hell yes!

5. Hush (season 4 episode 10)

Everyone loves Joss Whedon’s dialogue. So he decided to write an episode where there is hardly any dialogue. The result is one of the creepiest shows ever, not just on Buffy, but ever. The villains are The Gentlemen who place a spell over Sunnydale, making everyone lose their voice. And since no one can scream The Gentlemen take the hearts of their victims without anyone hearing their screams. It’s a twisted fairytale and extremely effective horror show making. Man, just the picture gives me the willies.

4 Innocence (season 2 episode 13)

Buffy and Angel’s relationship had been building to this moment every since he swooped into her life. It comes to a sexy crescendo in Surprise. They finally do the dirty deed, and it’s beautiful. But it doesn’t end there. After Buffy falls asleep Angel runs out in the rain in pain.  He slowly rises to his feet and when a person helps him to his feet, he happily bites and kills her. Angel lost his soul when making love to Buffy, turning him into the dreaded vampire Angelus!

3. The Body (season 5 episode 16)

One of the most heart wrenching and powerful episodes on TV history The Body is hard to watch. After defeating vampires and demons the one thing Buffy could not defeat was the natural and shocking death of her mother. Joss Whedon wrote this episode to address a single shocking issue. In fact Joss’ mother died of the same thing cerebral aneurysm. There is no music in this episode and the performance of Sarah Michelle Gellar is absolutely amazing. This episode is hard to watch, but also one everyone must watch. Truly powerful stuff.

2. Once More With Feeling (season 6 episode 7)

This episode is a musical and totally amazing. After resurrecting Buffy the Scoobies have a new problem, they randomly break out in song.  The songs range from classic musical stuff, to rock, and duets. They all advance the story in stunning ways and when it’s reveled that Buffy was at peace and possibly in Heaven after she died, the gang can’t help but think maybe bringing back Buffy was a mistake. This episode also sets up Willow’s growing power as a witch and her shocking turn as a villain.

1. The Gift (season 5 episode 22)

Buffy is the ultimate woman hero. She often times puts herself at risk for the safety of others. And this is no more evident then in The Gift, my most favorite episode of Buffy. Glory seemed to be an unbeatable god.  When Glory opens a portal the only way to seal it is with the blood of Buffy’s sister Dawn. Buffy however realizes that Dawn and her actually share the same blood and instead of Dawn sacrificing herself, Buffy does. Throwing herself off a tower, through the portal and falling to her death. At the end of the episode Buffy’s gravestone says, “She saved the World-a lot” couldn’t have said it any better.

Mad Men is boring here are Ryan’s 10 favorite TV shows that are not..

Yes the title of my podcast and blog is called Reel Nerds but I am a nerd of all forms of pop culture. Watching Mad Men with my wife has made me write this bolg because no matter all the praise Mad Men gets I still think it’s boring(sorry.) Nothing to do with the acting because all the actors in the show are good, I just can’t get into it. So here are my favorite shows. But first, here is a list of shows that almost cracked my top 10:

How I Met Your Mother, The Simpsons, Futurama, That 70’s Show and Angel.

Product Details10. Alias: Sydney Bristow has a secret. She is a totally kick ass spy! Jennifer Garner is a Bamf in the title role and the show is the brainchild of the awesome J.J. Abrams(more on him later). The first episode is super clever and the show could have been silly in the wrong hands, but it’s amazing. Constent twists and turns will have you watching the show for hours and over and over again. Supremely underrated.

Product Details9. It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia:Every single character in this show is an asshole. They have no redeeming qualities at all, but they are freaking hilarious. Dennis is self centered and narcissistic, Dee is a bitch and always picked on, Mac is stupid and tough, Charlie might be retarded and has poor hygiene, and last but not least Frank is the father of Dennis and Dee rich and super funny. The show is really goofy and it makes for one entertaining half hour. With episodes with titles like “Sweet Dee Dates a Retarded Person” you laugh before the title screen dissapears.

Product Details8. South Park: South Park has been going strong since 1997 and it seems to always be as sharp and funny as it was then. On the surface people who don’t really watch the show might think it’s nothing more then potty mouthed kids, but it is so much more. Whether it’s making fun of Mormons or cleverly skewing  pop culture. If you think topics are off limits don’t tell Trey Parker or Matt Stone, they will mock it and not be afraid. Muhammad, Jesus, Tom Cruise and scientology have all been victims of South Park. Fav character, Cartman followed closely by Randy Marsh.

Product Details7. The Office:Shot like a documentary this is one crazy look into the office of a paper company. Michael Scott is the boss and he is dense, insensitive, and somewhat dumb. Steve Carrell is able to portray him however as the lovable loser. Carrell has an amazing gift for comedic timing and when he is on in this show there is no comedian better. Jim is also awesome as the straight guy, and his pranks with the Assistant to the Regional Manager Dwight have some of the best cold openings of any TV show ever.

Product Details6. Family Guy:Sweet!!! Family Guy had a rough start, times and days that it aired were always shifted and it was cancelled. But something amazing happened. It sold like crazy on DVD and Fox decided to bring it back. What Family Guy has become is a top rated show on Fox and it will be entering it’s 10th season. Peter is the father and dimwitted husband and is money. The show gets flak for being too silly and it’s cut aways that have nothing to do with the story but I still think it’s insanely funny and I dig all the music that is sprinkled throughout every episode.

Product Details5. The Dick Van Dyke Show:Dick Van Dyke is so amazing and this show showcases all of his talents. Acting, singing, dancing, and impeccable timing. But he’s not the only one Mary Tyler Moore, Morey Amsterdam, Rose Marie are all awesome. Carl Reiner caught lightning in a bottle with his cast and his incredible writing has made the show timeless.

Product Details4. Lost: Plane crash survivors are stranded on a mysterious and “magical” island that isn’t what it seems. The show has lots of fantastical moments but what makes the show memorable is the characters and all the baggage(see what I did there plane joke). Another killer show by J.J. Abrams he is by far one of my favorite people in Hollywood. Favorite character in Lost, Jack Shephard, he is badass and Matthew Fox has such quiet intensity in his performance.

Product Details3. Buffy The Vampire Slayer:Girl Power! Joss Whedon wrote the script for the movie Buffy and he wasn’t happy. So he did something way better, make one of the best shows period. His snappy dialogue is really developed here and his ability to juggle tons of characters at once makes him ideal choice for The Avengers. Sarah Michelle Gellar kicks all sorts of butt as Buffy but also is great at small character moments.

Product Details2. 24:Jack Bauer is a badass federal agent. If you are a terrorist you had better fear him. He is smart and loyal and doesn’t take crap from anyone. A show that takes place in real time and every decision made in this show could be your last. The only character who seemed safe was Jack and that’s only because he kicks so much ass. Kiefer Sutherland is so honed in on this character you find yourself doing a fist pump every time Jack takes a bad guy out. Dammit!!

Product Details1. Friends:This might shock people but Friends is my favorite show. Super funny and all the actors have great chemistry together. Each one has a different way of comedy and it all works. It’s hard to imagine that this show is almost 20 years old but it still is funny and also full of heart. Ross and Rachel are one of TV’s greatest couples and in the early episodes there are some real magical moments. My favorite character is Chandler because I relate to him so much, I would use humor to make up for what he thought where his faults. And just like him I found the strength in a woman I love… Could we be more awesome?

Ryan’s Top 10 Movie Villains

Ah villains, we love to hate them. Villains play an important role in a hero’s journey, they can evoke fear and hate. Some do it subtly, others love being over the top. Here is a list of my favorite bad guys.

  10. Dumbledore (Harry Potter Series)The single most controversial character on my list and I have few supporters in my view, but I believe Dumbledore is one big villain. Knowing that Harry is the only person that can destroy Voldemort’s horcruxes, Dumbledore uses Harry to find them. That would be fine if he told Harry, but instead he deceives Harry and Snape into doing his dirty work since he himself cannot destroy Voldemort. He also knows that Harry will die and must die when he faces Voldemort…hmm a professor leading a student to his death…sounds like a villain to me.

  9. Jigsaw (Saw series) Maybe a hero in his own mind, John Kramer was diagnosed with terminal cancer and instead of just dying he decided to take out revenge on those who take life for granted. By making his victims choose between life and death gives him a twisted god complex. Played with cool and calmness by Tobin Bell, Jigsaw is one of the newest bogeymen of horror.

  8. Predator (Predator series)  A badass hunter from space the Predator collects other species for trophies. Cool weapons and awesome technology these creatures rock. They also take on the likes of Arnold Schwarzenegger, aliens from the Alien movies and… Danny Glover?

 7. Evil Ash (Army of Darkness)What happens when you take the smart assy-ness of Ash from Army of Darknessand combine it with the fury of an undead demon? A totally awesome villain. He’s funny and scary played perfectly by Bruce Campbell, I love this character and wish he wasn’t blown up at the end of the movie, because it would be awesome to see him lead an army of the dead again.

 6. Freddy Krueger ( A Nightmare on Elm Street series) Crazed child molester Fred Krueger was burned alive by venegful parents, but what they didn’t know was that act birthed something much worse. Able to murder children in their sleep where no one can protect them, Freddy unleashed his revenge. Robert Englund was amazing and gave the boogeyman a voice and very distinct manners. Also played well by Jackie Earle Haley in the 2010 reboot, if it wasn’t for some truly goofy sequels Freddy would be higher on my list.

  5. Norman Bates (Psycho series) Talk about mommy issues. Norman Bates ran the Bates Motel with his mother for years. Truly in love withhis mother when she took a lover and ignored him, he poisoned them both. But it doesn’t end there. Instead of burying his mother he keeps her corpse in her bedroom, wow that’s crazy but wait there’s more. He also dresses up in her clothes and murders more people in his mothers disguise.  Perkins is so scary and amazing in this role even the scene where he just talks to Janet Leigh gives you chills.

  4. Dr. Horrible (Dr. Horrible’s Sing-A-Long Blog) Trying  to get into the Evil League of Evil Dr. Horrible uses his inventions to impress the leader Bad Horse. He believes his latest invention a Freeze Ray will get the job done. Neil Patrick Harris is money as the hapless villain. The story also has a douche bag hero Captain Hammer(Nathon Fillion who also rocks) who always seems to show up when Dr. Horrible is about to commit a crime. This once download only series became such a hit that you can now get the DVD, Blu-Ray, and also a soundtrack. Get them all, as the story is at one time funny, political, romantic, and finally tragic with NPH nailing all aspects.

  3. The Joker (The Dark Knight) Forget Jack Nicholson’s Joker from Batman ‘89, Heath Ledger’s Joker is the best. At the time of the casting no one believed the hunky star of a Knight’s Tale could bring the kind of crazy neededbe the Joker. But much to the surprise of even the most hating fan boys, everyone was singing his praise. The unfortunate death of Ledger makes his performance even more haunting and tragic as the possibility of another Batman/Joker showdown will never be realized. And we will never look at a magic trick the same.

  2. Jason Voorhees (Friday the 13th series) Starting his cinematic career as a throw away scare at the end of the first Friday the 13th, Jason has become one of the most popular and terrifying villains in movie history. Silent and determined to kill everyone just because Jason is the ultimate untimely death. Debunking a myth; Jason doesn’t kill because you have sex or smoke weed, he kills because he can, and will with no remorse. Don’t believe me? Ask Mark form Part 2 who was in a wheelchair when he took a machete to the face.

  1. Darth Vader (Star Wars series) The ultimate bad guy is the baddest dude in the whole galaxy. A master of the force and Jedi skills Anakin Skywalker choose the more rewarding life as a sith lord. Able to choke people by just wishing it he is feared like no one else. He even chopped his own sons hand off when he refused to join the darkside. And he also decapitated his former mentor and friend Obi-Wan Kenobi. Did I mention he also ordered the total destruction of a whole planet? Don’t mess with Vader!
